Hey everyone. Check out the posts below and keep up to date on what I've been up to lately. Not only will I post images from recent shoots, I will also share a my personality with you so you know what type of person I am before ever meeting me. I specialize in weddings and bring fun & spontaneity to every engagement, bridal, & wedding I photograph. If the carnival is in town, we will most likely end up there, (right Phu & Jack).

There is one thing that everyone must know. I am always available and can be reached by email for phone. Although I may not pick up the call on the first ring...I usually trip over a lot of things around my loft as I run for the phone :) But I'm online a lot and always keep up on my emails. So ask away, ask as many questions as you need to. I'd love to hear from you.

B School

Nope, not business school. Although I did once think I’d end up going to for a MBA, but I like to think I made the right decision for my career path :) So B School is a new educational/networking/new approach to learning photography and building a great professional network. As with any profession, it’s always important to continue training and pushing yourself to learn the what works for others so you know whether or not your product is meeting the demands of your clients.

Can’t wait until school starts.

13 days and counting

The Adolphus show is coming up in a couple weeks and I haven’t yet planned anything for it. Well, I guess I do have a rough idea but I still need to get a lot of prints made and create my slideshows. This will be a very busy week. I received the floor layout late last week so I now know where my booth will be. I’m in the middle of the floor and not against the wall so I’ll need to come up with something to create a wall. I built some room dividers in the past so I think I know what I’ll do for the show. I wanted to get a lot accomplished this weekend but that didn’t happen…oh well.

I did start posting video’s on my blog that are iphone compatible. If you visit my site on your iphone, you will see a different layout and also be able to watch most videos. I have to work through the backlog of the video and convert them so you may not be able to watch them all.

Sample Album

So I’d thought I would go ahead and post of one my album designs. This was a wedding from earlier this year. The album is a 20×20 inch 30 page album. I design each album layout myself and provide the client with a web proof just like this one. We review the proof and make any final changes before placing the order. The book binding can be customized with various color and material options.

The Adolphus Haute Wedding Show

Come to the Adolphus Haute show on Sunday September 14th and meet the top wedding professionals in Dallas! I’ll be there as 1 of 9 top Dallas wedding photography studios in attendance.

If you give me your name & a guest name, I can get  you on the list so you don’t have to pay the admission fee. Last year was fun and there’s so much to see. (and cake to eat)

Sample Shot List

This is something that I provide every couple when they book with me. It’s a sample shot list for you to work on and modify so you can provide me with your “must-have” photos. For some weddings this won’t cover everything and for other, this is overkill. It’s a starting point and meant to get you started. What I like to do is sit down with my brides and go over this list, crossing off things that don’t matter & adding those important shots that do.

Phu & Jack - a preview

Here are a few images from the bridal/engagement session. Phu & Jack’s wedding is this Friday, August 8th. It is going to be great and I’ll be posting a lot of photos from it! The wedding is at the Empire Room in downtown Dallas. I was there last NYE volunteering my photo skills for an American Cancer Society fund raising party. It was spectacular and I can’t wait to see what Phu & Jack have done with the space.

Back on the blog

It’s been a long month and I know I haven’t been keeping up with the blog. Yes, shame on me:( Well, I have a lot to post so over the next week the flood gates are open.

One thing I’m really excited about is the wedding next Friday, 08/08/08. My clients Phu & Jack are going to have the most amazing wedding! There’s a photo of them on my home page, the one when all the green grass in the foreground.

Time to get to work organizing my photos for the blog…

New Rings @ Mont Blanc

Have you seen these? There’s an assortment of nice looking rings at Mont Blanc. Not necessarily “traditional” engagement, but could most certainly be wedding band worthy. But that’s up to you so take a look. I like the mens too, but think the women’s rings are much better.
